About the role#
As a Human Resources Intern at Revamp Engineering, you will gain hands-on experience with the full employee lifecycle. You will work under the supervision of experienced HR staff to support compliance, payroll, benefits administration, and recordkeeping. This role includes mentorship, training, and project work to build your professional HR expertise.
What you'll do#
- Review and update OSHA and labor law postings across all office locations to ensure they are accurate and complete.
- Support federal, state, and local mandated reporting requirements.
- Track hourly employee timesheets and follow up on missing or incomplete submissions to support payroll processing.
- Verify QLE changes with brokers and carriers.
- Serve as a resource for routine employee questions and assist with day-to-day administrative matters.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 credits toward a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of federal employment law and HR compliance fundamentals.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to resolve open items before deadlines.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple compliance and payroll tasks.
- Knowledge of California HR and employment law is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a part-time, paid internship.
- The role is based in Oakland, California, with a hybrid work modality.
- You must be available to work four hours per day, Monday through Friday, between 9 AM and 5 PM PT.
- You should be able to commute to the Oakland office as needed, approximately 1 to 2 days per week.
