    About the role#

    We are looking for Vulnerability Research Interns to join our Cyber Security team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site internship where you will work on technical problems for our Defense and Homeland Security customers. You must have the ability and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance.

    What you'll do#

    • Identify vulnerable code patterns in real-world software using and improving internal tools.
    • Perform binary analysis and instrumentation using both static and dynamic analysis methods.
    • Develop software to scale and prioritize research efforts.
    • Engage in technical work across a variety of technologies.

    What you'll need#

    • Experience writing code in Python and at least one compiled language, preferably C.
    • A foundation in low-level systems concepts such as memory layout, CPU architecture (x86, ARM, or MIPS), OS internals, or compiler behavior.
    • Practical experience with vulnerability research, binary analysis, and reverse engineering through coursework, CTF competitions, or online wargames.
    • Familiarity with tools like IDA, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, or various debuggers.
    • Knowledge of security fundamentals including exploit mitigations like ASLR, DEP/NX, and stack canaries, as well as cryptographic concepts and protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS.
    • Enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree program.

    • This is a paid, full-time internship located on-site in Melbourne, FL, St. Petersburg, FL, or San Antonio, TX.
