About the role#
The Production Allocation Engineering Intern will support the daily and monthly processes used to track, validate, and report oil, gas, and water production. This role provides hands-on exposure to the production-volume lifecycle, from wellhead measurement to final sales reporting. You will work alongside Production Engineers, Field Operations, and Production Accounting to ensure data is accurate and reflects actual field operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily well-level production allocation for oil, gas, and water volumes.
- Support monthly close activities by comparing allocated volumes to meter readings and system totals.
- Identify and reconcile discrepancies in production data, such as tank measurement errors or facility imbalances.
- Update and maintain production data in systems like Energy Components or ProCount.
- Collaborate with Measurement and Field Operations to verify meter performance and equipment limits.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or Data Engineering.
- A cumulative and major GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Full authorization to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship.
- Ability to commit to a continuous 12-week period from May 17th to August 6th, 2027.
