About the role#
This internship supports the Government Affairs and DC Legal teams. You will work on Congressional and Federal agency issues, as well as state and local policies affecting our locations in California, Mississippi, and Florida. You will also assist the legal team with regulatory compliance, government contracts, and export controls.
What you'll do#
- Organize and track data related to government advocacy, legislative activity, and regulatory work.
- Research policy issues relevant to the space industry and write concise memos or reports with your findings.
- Assist with PAC operations, including tracking receipts and disbursements, budget analysis, and contribution strategy.
- Attend congressional hearings and meetings to provide updates and summaries to the team.
- Improve operational efficiency within the DC office.
What you'll need#
- You are currently an undergraduate junior or senior, or a graduate student in policy, political science, law, or aerospace engineering.
- Strong writing, verbal communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and shift between different tasks and issue areas independently.
- Previous internship or work experience in aerospace, law, or policy is preferred.
- A clear interest in the commercial space industry is a plus.
