About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will work on the ground floor of rocket production. You will help build the systems and processes that turn designs into flight hardware for the Terran R vehicle. This role involves working directly with hardware and collaborating with engineers and technicians to improve our production capabilities.
What you'll do#
- Define and establish efficient product flow for flight hardware through the factory.
- Identify and solve needs for tooling and work centers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement process improvements.
- Generate high quality work instructions, specifications, and best practices.
- Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams during development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
- Hands-on experience gained through labs, projects, internships, or hardware teams.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and production teams.
- A self-motivated approach to solving problems.
