About the role#
As a Launch Mechanical/Electrical Engineer Intern, you will participate in the development, build-up, activation, and operation of launch site ground support equipment. You will help with fluid systems, supporting infrastructure, and mating hardware. Your work includes procedure development, system maintenance, and defining operational concepts. You will also contribute to GUI and automation development while supporting launch and integration operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform end-to-end design of launch hardware using CAD, FEA, and hand calculations.
- Collaborate with launch site civil and fluids engineering teams.
- Support the design, installation, and activation of power generation, distribution, protection, and sequencing systems.
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish with minimal oversight.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Basic knowledge of common fluid and structural components, including valves, regulators, actuators, and instrumentation like transducers, thermocouples, and flow meters.
- Ability to work in an intense startup environment.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Positions are available in Cape Canaveral, Florida, and Long Beach, California.
- The role is on-site.
- Internships follow a rolling schedule.
- Note that Cape Canaveral internships require your own transportation.
