About the role#
The Research Intern provides social science research support for assignments of low to moderate complexity. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in St. Louis, Missouri, with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Conduct literature reviews and perform statistical analysis on primary and secondary data.
- Prepare memos, tables, and graphs based on research findings under the supervision of experienced professionals.
- Develop project materials, including report outlines and visual exhibits, and serve as an editor for deliverables.
- Support business development by coordinating document preparation and reproduction.
- Assist senior staff with background research on programs, award history, and agency goals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree or higher in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Social Science, or a closely related field.
- Basic knowledge of research principles, processes, and methods.
- Data entry experience and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with statistical software packages, specifically SPSS.
