About the role#
This internship program provides hands-on experience across the sales organization, including inside sales, field sales, customer service, and commercial excellence. You will spend 11 weeks gaining practical knowledge through job shadowing, product training, site visits, and direct customer engagement. The program runs from June 2, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Lead a sales project that delivers measurable business value, from defining objectives to presenting final recommendations.
- Complete at least 40 hours of customer-facing engagements and observation.
- Conduct market research, perform territory and sales analyses, and help with account development.
- Support CRM management, opportunity tracking, quoting processes, and sales reporting.
- Participate in product training, technical learning, and professional development activities.
- Maintain a weekly reflection journal and complete self-assessments.
- Build a professional network through mentorship and company events.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site in Downers Grove, IL.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel locally up to 10% of the time.
- Preferred: Experience with CRM tools, interest in industrial sales, and demonstrated leadership in student or work organizations.

- Compensation: $19 - $24 per hour.
