About the role#
This Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Co-Op position is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It is a full-time, on-site role available for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications.
- Analyze and resolve design tolerance issues.
- Evaluate, select, and order capital test equipment, including performing cost and payback analysis.
- Support capacity planning and utilization analysis to ensure proper staffing and equipment needs.
- Identify and address routine test defects to improve test yields.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve test failures.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- Background in root cause analysis.
- Relevant experience from research, coursework, projects, or on-the-job training.
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in electronics.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
- Prior internship, co-op, or work experience at RTX is a plus.
