About the role#
This co-op position offers a blend of independent work and team collaboration. You will work alongside industrial engineers, production personnel, and management teams. The role requires U.S. citizenship. You will be based on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with occasional travel to local regional sites in the state.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing test processes, including equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Perform unit failure analysis and refine test procedures.
- Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, inventory management, and production record systems.
- Review products and processes to identify quality, safety, and producibility risks.
- Collaborate with design teams to mitigate identified risks.
- Manage projects or processes of moderate size.
- Identify and resolve complex problems and develop tactical plans for day-to-day challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
- Previous co-op or internship experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis.
- Proficiency in software debugging.
- A demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role is located on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- The term covers Summer 2027 and Fall 2027.
