About the role#
This Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Co-Op position is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will work on-site, collaborating with industrial engineers, production teams, and management. This role requires U.S. citizenship. You will manage projects, solve technical problems, and contribute to the operational success of aerospace component manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing test processes, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and unit failure analysis.
- Conduct studies on productivity, cost control, inventory management, and production record systems.
- Review products and processes to identify risks regarding safety, quality, and producibility.
- Work with design teams to create and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop tactical plans to address day-to-day operational challenges.
- Manage projects or processes of moderate size.
- Travel to local regional sites in Iowa when required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis.
- Proficiency in software debugging.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
