    About the role#

    This internship is a full-time position for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to support the development and certification of flight control systems.

    What you'll do#

    • Write control algorithms and signal processing code for flight control systems, including flight guidance and autothrottle.
    • Define and review functional and interface requirements for these systems.
    • Build models and simulation tools to test closed loop system performance.
    • Verify and validate control algorithms against established requirements.
    • Assist with product certification by following ARP4754A/B system development and DO-178B/C software development standards.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program for electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related STEM field.
    • You must remain actively enrolled through the end of the internship.
    • Proficiency with Matlab and Simulink.
    • A solid understanding of control systems theory.
    • Familiarity with aviation or flight control systems.
    • This role requires you to be a U.S. Person.
