About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to join the Hardware Engineering Center at Raytheon. You will support multi-discipline teams working on military programs. The role focuses on the design, analysis, and support of electronics products. You will work under general supervision to solve technical problems and learn internal development processes.
What you'll do#
- Test, troubleshoot, and integrate analog and digital electronics in a lab setting.
- Use electrical engineering CAE tools for design and analysis.
- Perform schematic capture, HDL code development, synthesis, and simulation.
- Operate standard lab equipment on a daily basis.
- Create technical reports and out briefs using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of Summer 2027.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Experience reading electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Experience documenting test results and repair recommendations.
- Experience working in a lab environment with standard electrical engineering equipment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in McKinney, Texas.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
