About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work on cybersecurity challenges within the aerospace and defense sector. You will join a team focused on system defense and research, working alongside experienced professionals to solve complex technical problems.
What you'll do#
- Defend and perform penetration testing on computer systems and networks.
- Reverse engineer software, malware, and system architectures.
- Practice strategies for both free form thinking and disciplined application.
- Develop your oral and written presentation skills.
- Collaborate with team members, including project leadership and fellow interns.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Active enrollment throughout the internship session.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience with C, C++, or Python.
- U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.
- Preferred experience includes assembly language (x86/64, ARM, PPC, MIPS), reverse engineering tools like IDA, Ghidra, or BinaryNinja, and knowledge of security fundamentals such as cryptography and network protocols.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship with a salary range of 37,000 USD to 82,000 USD.
