Data Analyst Intern (LATAM)

About the role#

As a Data Analyst Intern at R2, you will work within the Data Science & Machine Learning department to support the company's data-first mission. You will play a key role in analyzing data patterns to identify financial opportunities for small and medium businesses across Latin America.

What you'll do#

• Build processes for data structuring, cleaning, and enrichment from diverse sources.
• Conduct descriptive analysis of merchant and transactional data to generate insights for business decision-making.
• Process transactional data using feature-based and time-series approaches.
• Execute data science operational procedures to deliver high-quality results that support capital access for businesses.

What you'll need#

• At least one year of practical or theoretical experience in data analysis.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R and SQL.
• A data-oriented mindset with a focus on evidence-based decision-making.
• Experience with SQL procedures and data orchestrators such as Airflow.
• Proficiency in consuming data through APIs, SFTP, or CSV files.
• Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics.
