About the role#
R.T. Moore is hiring a Field Engineering Intern to support our project teams in the field. You will work alongside project managers and superintendents to gain hands-on experience in the mechanical and industrial engineering sector. This position offers a structured path with mentorship and exposure to our quality standards and safety protocols.
What you'll do#
- Apply Trimble knowledge to assist with project layout.
- Interpret engineering drawings and provide support in the field.
- Assist with material take offs and estimating.
- Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
- Support project safety requirements and initiatives.
- Assist with general project coordination as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year Engineering or Construction Management program.
- Ability to solve problems independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to execute tasks under time constraints.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Myers, Florida.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time.
- This is a paid internship.
- This role involves indoor and outdoor work, including exposure to various weather conditions and construction site environments. You must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and wear required personal protective equipment.
