    About the role#

    This internship focuses on advancing neutral-atom quantum computing technologies. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists to design, implement, and characterize neutral-atom quantum computing systems.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the design and construction of neutral atom quantum computers under the guidance of your mentor.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to verify and validate modules and subsystems.
    • Investigate sources of noise and decoherence to help develop mitigation strategies.
    • Support experimental setups, including work with optical components, lasers, and atom trapping systems.
    • Use the Python scientific stack to analyze experimental data and provide insights for continuous improvement.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
    • A strong physics background with experience in optics.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Proficiency in Python, including the scientific stack (PyTorch, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas), is considered a plus.
