    About the role#

    The Queens District Attorney's Office is hiring law students for a part-time internship during the Winter 2027 term. This program runs from January through April 2027. You will work directly with prosecutors to learn about the operations of the office. Interns are expected to work on-site for at least 12 to 15 hours per week, with schedules that remain flexible to accommodate your classes. You will also have access to office-wide legal training sessions.

    What you'll do#

    Your specific tasks depend on your bureau assignment. You will participate in the following areas:

    • Research and write assignments for pending cases.
    • Assist with motion and discovery practice.
    • Help prepare search warrant applications.
    • Observe civilian and police interviews and proffers.
    • Make court appearances under the student practice order.
    • Visit crime scenes.
    • Participate in community outreach programs.
