About the role#
This is a full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Phoenix, Arizona. You will work on-site with the Development team to support the life-cycle of data center builds. The program includes orientation, weekly lunch and learns, and site-based activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with core projects and construction process oversight.
- Aid in budget management, scheduling, and status reporting.
- Update project status for director-level reviews.
- Support entitlement and permitting needs for assigned sites.
- Develop scopes of work for design, construction, and commissioning.
- Monitor budgets and review schedules, change orders, submittals, and pricing proposals.
- Help with due diligence for new land banks and properties.
- Improve project management processes and protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Economics, Math, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, or Human Resources.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Preference for experience with Solidworks, Bluebeam, Tableau, Power BI, or programming languages like Python and Java.
- Preference for previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, or facilities engineering.
- Preference for previous data center build experience.
- Must be currently enrolled full-time at a QTS partner institution or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school.
- Involvement in community activities such as athletics, clubs, or volunteering.
