About the role#
QTS Data Centers is hiring a Construction Project Engineer intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on an active data center build site, gaining exposure to various stages of construction and development. This is a full-time, paid position that provides hands-on experience with real project objectives.
What you'll do#
- Perform site walks to assist with estimating, safety, and project life-cycle management.
- Participate in regular QA/QC meetings and checks.
- Track RFI status and coordinate with vendors.
- Support the Development team with project oversight and construction processes.
- Assist with budget management, scheduling, and status reports.
- Prepare project status updates for director-level reviews.
- Support entitlement and permitting requirements for assigned sites.
- Develop scopes of work for commissioning, construction, and design services.
- Review schedules, change orders, submittals, and pricing proposals.
- Help with due diligence for new properties and land banks.
- Improve existing project management protocols and processes.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- Full-time enrollment at a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school or a QTS partner institution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel for budgeting and PowerPoint for presentations.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, facilities engineering, or HR.
- Prior experience on active construction or development sites.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- US Citizenship.

- This is an on-site role based in Fayetteville or Atlanta, Georgia.
