About the role#
Qorvo is hiring a Software Engineer Intern to join our Information Technology Manufacturing Systems group. You will work on production software that supports semiconductor manufacturing and enterprise DevOps initiatives. This role involves collaborating with engineering and manufacturing stakeholders across various sites to address technical challenges.
What you'll do#
- Build, deploy, and troubleshoot applications and services.
- Participate in requirements discussions with internal stakeholders.
- Write readable, tested, and maintainable code.
- Contribute to improvements in our development lifecycle and stack.
- Take part in code reviews, documentation practices, and GitFlow workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Completion of at least two years of your degree program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Python, C#, Ruby, Java, or Javascript.
- Experience with Git-based collaboration, including branches, commits, and merge requests.
- Familiarity with relational database fundamentals and SQL queries.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within an interdisciplinary team.
- Preferred experience includes backend web frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI, ASP.NET Core), frontend frameworks (React, Vue), REST APIs, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and AI/ML workflows.
