About the role#
Qorvo is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our team in Richardson, Texas. You will work on software development projects that support our manufacturing automation systems. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Support and maintain existing desktop and web applications using Microsoft technologies.
- Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot services and applications for manufacturing automation.
- Configure and support AI agents, machine learning models, and AI-enabled applications.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Systems team members and subject matter experts to define project requirements.
- Write clean, functional, and testable code.
- Improve software development life cycle processes.
- Participate in source code management and maintain technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree program.
- Completion of at least two years of school before the internship begins.
- A GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented language like C#, JavaScript, or Python.
- Familiarity with web frameworks such as .NET, Django, React, or Knockout JS.
- Knowledge of design patterns like MVC or MVVM.
- Experience with developing and consuming web services.
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Exposure to containerization tools like Docker.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts including model APIs, prompt engineering, or Python.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps practices using GitLab or GitHub.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
