About the role#
Qorvo is looking for an RF/Analog IC Design Intern to join our Connectivity and Sensors business group. You will work on real projects that contribute to the design and implementation of RF, analog, power management, mixed-signal, and digital SoC systems. You will balance performance requirements with constraints like size, cost, power dissipation, and project schedules.
What you'll do#
- Produce and implement designs that meet specific customer requirements.
- Design and test circuits including PA, LNA, SW, MIXER, VCO/PLL, Gm-C/SC-filters, ADC/DAC, and digital components like FSM or modems.
- Partner with technicians to run circuit simulations and perform testing.
- Use lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers to compare simulated data against real lab results.
- Develop automated or regression simulation environments using scripting languages.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program for Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Coursework or experience in RF/microwave, analog, or digital integrated-circuit design.
- Familiarity with software tools such as ADS, FEM, HFSS, Momentum, Synopsis, Mentor Calibre, or Cadence Virtuoso.
- Scripting skills in SKILL, python, TCL, or bash.
- Exposure to RF measurement equipment is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication, plus the ability to plan and schedule tasks systematically.
- A detail-oriented approach to ensure high-yielding products.
