About the role#
Qorvo is hiring an Electrical Design Engineering Intern to join our High Performance Analog business group in Richardson, Texas. This internship provides hands-on experience in the design, analysis, and testing of RF, analog, and power management circuit card assemblies. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop next-generation RF and mixed-signal hardware.
What you'll do#
- Assist with schematic development, component selection, and RF signal chain design.
- Perform circuit simulations to evaluate gain, noise figure, linearity, power consumption, and overall system performance.
- Participate in laboratory testing and characterization using equipment like network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Optimize circuit performance and contribute to design documentation, technical reports, and test procedures.
- Support design reviews and systematic project planning.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of coursework in RF or Microwave design.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Familiarity with engineering software such as Altium Designer, Cadence, LTspice, or ADS.
- Exposure to RF measurement equipment is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information.
- Ability to work in a detail-oriented manner and collaborate effectively within a team.
