About the role#
Qorvo is hiring an Electrical CAD Engineer Intern to join the High Performance Analog business group. You will work on real projects that support our semiconductor solutions. This role provides hands-on experience with board design and CAD systems while working alongside engineering teams.
What you'll do#
- Create and modify detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software.
- Analyze high speed, power, and RF board designs, including schematics, circuits, and impedance control.
- Contribute design modifications to improve manufacturing operations and product quality.
- Review design plots against project inputs to ensure they meet standards.
- Apply knowledge of IPC Standard 6011, 6012, mechanical geometric tolerance, and PCB stack-up definitions.
- Collaborate with other engineers on model accuracy, drafting standards, and documentation.
- Manage system tasks such as file maintenance, storage, and backups.
- Use programming skills to support engineering applications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Systems Engineering with a GPA of 3.25 or above.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB layout and schematic design.
- Experience with Advanced Design System (ADS) for RF and microwave circuit simulation.
- Familiarity with AWR Design Environment for RF and microwave projects.
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks for mechanical modeling.
- Coursework or lab experience using Cadence/Allegro for IC and PCB design.
- Programming skills in Python, C, and C++.
- Working knowledge of SQL for database management.
