About the role#
As a Tax intern within the Japanese Business Network, you will work with our tax practice to support client needs. This role focuses on helping our teams manage tax strategies, compliance, and risk. You will gain exposure to the specific needs of entrepreneurial and private businesses while building your professional skills and commercial awareness. This is a full-time summer internship for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
- Analyze tax data to find potential savings and compliance opportunities.
- Participate in international tax planning and multistate tax compliance projects.
- Conduct tax research to provide information on current laws and regulations.
- Use data analytics to improve the accuracy and efficiency of tax reporting.
- Collaborate with team members to draft client documents and support the Japanese Business Network.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
- Business level fluency in both Japanese and English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Ability to meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam before starting full-time employment.
- Typically, you should be in your third year of a four-year program or fourth year of a five-year program.
