About the role#
The Nursing Assistant Student role is designed for individuals currently enrolled in a Providence Nursing Assistant Training program. You will work under the direct supervision of a Nurse Manager or designee to support patient safety and care. Your responsibilities are determined by your supervisor based on your current skill level and scope of practice.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks to ensure assigned patients remain safe, including close and continuous observation.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable patient care environment.
- Document all patient observation and care activities.
- Complete basic patient care tasks as delegated by a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, or designee.
- Perform non-direct patient care duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Providence Nursing Assistant Training program.
- Completion of at least two months of successful employment in good standing to be accepted into the NAC Training Program.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association, required within 30 days of hire.
