About the role#
The Nursing Assistant Student role is designed for individuals committed to pursuing a career in patient care. In this position, you will work as a caregiver while actively participating in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program. You are required to obtain your CNA license or Montana EMT Basic license within 12 months of your start date.
What you'll do#
- Perform caregiver duties within the hospital setting.
- Enroll in and complete a CNA or EMT certification program either independently or through the hospital-sponsored program.
- Work toward obtaining professional licensure within the first year of employment.
What you'll need#
- Commitment to obtaining a CNA or EMT license within 12 months of hire.
- Ability to obtain American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Previous patient care experience is preferred.
