About the role#
The Nursing Assistant Student position is a per-diem role for students currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school program. You will work under the direct supervision of a clinical supervisor, registered nurse, or designee to provide patient care within an approved scope of practice. This role involves 12-hour day and night shifts at Providence Saint John's Health Center.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks to ensure patient safety, including close and continuous observation.
- Take and record vital signs.
- Assist patients with daily activities and comfort.
- Maintain a safe patient care environment.
- Document all patient observation and care activities.
- Complete non-direct patient care duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least the first semester of an accredited nursing school program.
- High school diploma or GED.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association, required within 30 days of hire.
