About the role#
Prosperity Bank offers an 8-week internship program during Summer 2027. You will work with the Central Oklahoma Lending and Credit teams to observe and review financial reports. The goal is to learn how to determine risks when loaning money or extending credit. You will work alongside lenders, portfolio managers, and management to monitor the existing loan portfolio and help with new client development.
What you'll do#
- Spread and analyze commercial financial statements for prospective and existing customers.
- Assist in performing financial analysis and underwriting for loan packages.
- Prepare charts and narrative reports regarding financial analysis, including stress testing and collateral valuation.
- Conduct diligence on business descriptions, industry trends, and market analysis.
- Review loan request presentation packages, including loan structuring and guarantor analysis.
- Obtain and analyze materials for collateral evaluation.
- Participate in department rotations and shadowing opportunities.
- Complete a final summer project based on a loan presentation.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and Word.
- Ability to handle multiple transactions at once and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and identify risks.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in the Oklahoma City metro area.
- The primary work location is the NW Expressway banking center in Oklahoma City.
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Housing and relocation costs are not covered.
