About the role#
This is an 8-week summer internship program with the Central Oklahoma Lending and Credit teams. You will work alongside lenders, portfolio managers, and management to observe and review credit and financial reports. The goal is to determine the risks involved in loaning money or extending credit. You will assist in monitoring the existing loan portfolio and help with new client development.
What you'll do#
- Spread and analyze commercial financial statements for new and existing customers.
- Perform financial analysis and underwriting for loan packages, including preparing charts and narratives on financial covenants, stress testing, and collateral valuation.
- Conduct diligence on business descriptions, industry trends, and market analysis.
- Review loan request presentation packages, including loan structuring and guarantor analysis.
- Obtain and analyze materials to evaluate collateral value.
- Rotate through various departments and participate in shadowing opportunities.
- Complete a final summer project centered on a loan presentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions at once and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify risks.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
- The primary work location is the NW Expressway banking center in Oklahoma City.
- Applicants must be based in the Oklahoma City metro area.
- Housing and relocation costs are not covered.
