About the role#
The Real Estate Operations Intern will support the Real Estate and Customer Experience team in Columbia, Maryland. You will partner with the Operations Construction Management team to track capital projects and budgets. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the Operations Construction Management team with capital project and budget tracking.
- Coordinate vendor communications related to project work.
- Assist with customer communications regarding utility data collection, facilities management tickets, and quarterly reports.
- Review quarterly inspection tickets and support data cleanup and file organization.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes using technology or AI.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program as a rising sophomore, junior, or senior, or current enrollment in a graduate program.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to collaborate as part of a team and a willingness to learn.
- Experience with project tracking, data organization, customer or vendor communications, or process improvement.
- Interest or project experience using AI or automation to streamline recurring work.
- Ability to leverage emerging technology and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed.
- Sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
