About the role#
The Development Intern program provides students with practical experience in the real estate industry. Over 10 to 12 weeks, you will work on projects that impact our business operations in South Florida. You will connect with company leaders and build workplace skills through seminars and Q&A sessions. This role includes local market tours to help you understand how your work impacts our final products.
What you'll do#
- Support active development and redevelopment projects across South Florida.
- Assist with project budgets, cost tracking, bid analysis, and contractor coordination.
- Monitor permitting, entitlements, schedules, and key project milestones.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and follow-up items.
- Contribute to innovation, sustainability, and process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program as a rising sophomore, junior, or senior, or current enrollment in a graduate program.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to collaborate as part of a team and a willingness to learn.
- Project or coursework experience related to development, construction, engineering, project coordination, or sustainability.
- Experience organizing project information, tracking budgets, or preparing status updates.
- Willingness to use emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.

- Compensation: Undergraduate students receive $25 to $30 per hour. Graduate students receive $35 to $40 per hour.
