About the role#
The Real Estate Operations Intern role provides practical experience in the industrial real estate sector. Over the course of a 10 to 12 week summer program, you will gain exposure to the Chicagoland portfolio. You will participate in team meetings, site visits, and projects that support leasing, property management, and construction management. This role is full-time and based on-site.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily leasing tasks, including the preparation of marketing materials and lease proposals.
- Attend prospective customer showings and help evaluate deal terms using basic financial models.
- Identify and implement AI-driven tools to improve operations workflows by researching use cases and gathering user feedback.
- Support team training and the rollout of new technology tools.
- Build professional relationships by attending team events, industry networking functions, and collaborating with the brokerage community.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program as a rising sophomore, junior, or senior, or enrollment in a graduate program.
- Academic focus or project experience in business administration, finance, or operations management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to professionalism.
- A collaborative approach to working within a team.
- Experience or coursework in commercial real estate, leasing, property management, or AI use cases is preferred.
