About the role#
This internship offers students the chance to gain practical experience within the Energy Solutions team. Over 10 to 12 weeks, you will support process improvements for tracking the economics and performance of energy projects. You will work on projects that impact the business, interact with company leaders, and build workplace skills through seminars and sessions. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in San Francisco.
What you'll do#
- Support process improvements for tracking project economics across energy initiatives.
- Compare project economics against underwriting models, actual performance, and revised projections.
- Document key variances and track performance indicators related to real estate impact and operations.
- Organize project data to support consistent tracking and comparison.
- Create clear visualizations of economics and performance indicators to communicate trends and results.
- Share findings with the Energy Finance team to assist with ongoing project monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior in an undergraduate program, or currently enrolled in a graduate program.
- Coursework or experience in finance, economics, data analytics, or real estate.
- Experience analyzing financial or operational data, including comparing projections to actual results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience presenting data through reports, charts, or other visualizations.
- A willingness to use emerging technology, automation, and AI tools.
- Attention to detail, professional integrity, and the ability to work well within a team.
