Human Resources Intern

About the role#

ProAmpac is seeking a Human Resources Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This role provides hands-on experience in HR operations, working closely with the Human Resources Manager to execute processes, policies, and programs. You will contribute to the HR team by supporting daily functions and participating in special projects.

What you'll do#

• Assist in talent acquisition, onboarding, and orientation processes in compliance with federal, local, and company requirements.
• Analyze existing new hire onboarding procedures to identify and implement improvements.
• Develop best practices to enhance the workflow for new employee integration.
• Organize, maintain, and update employee files and HRIS records.
• Provide administrative support for HR functions, including auditing, employee relations, and performance management.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and assigned special projects.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess processes and propose solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of detail-orientation and accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HRIS systems is preferred.

• Locations: Hybrid roles based at manufacturing sites in Hanover Park, Illinois, or Cincinnati, Ohio.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Status: Full-time, paid internship.
