Continuous Improvement Intern

About the role#

As a Continuous Improvement Intern at the Auburn, Washington facility, you will contribute to real projects that impact cost, efficiency, and performance across the plant. This role involves solving problems, analyzing data, and working alongside engineering and operations leaders to identify smarter ways of working.

What you'll do#

• Work on projects aimed at improving efficiency, reducing waste, and driving cost savings.
• Optimize processes and implement quick wins and improvement initiatives.
• Track project timelines, progress, and results.
• Use tools such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and time studies.
• Analyze data to support team decision-making.
• Collaborate directly with engineering, operations, and plant teams.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
• Initiative, organization, and a strong interest in problem-solving and data analysis.
• Exposure to Lean or process improvement methodologies is a plus.
