Product Development Intern

About the role#

This Product Development Internship focuses on standardizing and enhancing quality procedures across Chicagoland manufacturing sites. You will act as a liaison between technical and quality teams to ensure processes are consistent, clear, and effectively implemented across multiple locations.

What you'll do#

• Review and rewrite existing quality procedures to improve clarity and consistency.
• Identify process gaps and align quality standards across different facility locations.
• Observe and assess test procedures on-site at the Cary and Hanover Park facilities.
• Determine and implement necessary test procedure improvements for the Franklin Park location.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate updated quality standards.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Biomedical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Teams, and Outlook.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• A proactive approach to identifying problems and developing solutions.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

• Term: Summer 2026.
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour, based on education and experience.
