As a Continuous Improvement Intern at ProAmpac, you will contribute to site operational goals by supporting cost savings and efficiency projects. This role provides hands-on experience in process improvement, data analysis, and project execution within a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside engineering and operations teams to identify opportunities for growth and track project results.
What you'll do#
- Support projects focused on scrap reduction, throughput improvement, and new process development.
- Identify and lead quick-win improvements, such as 5S initiatives and supplier cost savings.
- Manage project timelines by tracking action items and deliverables.
- Perform root cause analysis using methods like 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and time studies.
- Analyze data and create reports to communicate project progress and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with personnel across manufacturing and engineering departments.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining organized and self-motivated.
- Comfort working cross-functionally in a manufacturing setting.
- A demonstrated interest or experience in process improvement, problem-solving, and data analysis.
