About the role#
This internship provides insight into the banking industry through on-the-job training and formal activities. You will work with credit analyst and lending teams to gain experience in the field. The role offers opportunities to observe how different departments, such as Treasury Management and Private Banking, operate to serve customers. You will also participate in client presentations and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Observe the daily tasks of Loan Officers and Credit Analysts while working with experienced mentors.
- Practice the processes for spreading financial statements and underwriting loans.
- Perform analysis based on your experience level and ask questions to improve loan underwriting.
- Attend loan committee meetings to learn about the loan approval process.
- Research industries and prepare prospect materials to understand the target customer profile.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year, accredited college or university.
- Good academic standing at your institution.
- A major or concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
