About the role#
Residential Student Technicians support the daily operations of the Office of Housing and Residence Life. You will help create a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff while assisting with the administrative and logistical needs of the department.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to residents, faculty, and visitors.
- Manage front desk operations, office coverage, and general administrative tasks.
- Support the residence hall processes for opening, closing, move-in, and move-out.
- Report any maintenance, safety, or operational concerns to professional staff.
- Assist with event logistics, including setup and teardown.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Prairie View A&M University.
- Eligibility for Federal Work-Study.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 and good disciplinary standing.
- Availability to work up to 20 hours per week.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site in Prairie View, Texas.
- The role is paid at $12.00 per hour.
- Work schedules are based on departmental needs and follow a rolling term.
