About the role#
This Chemical Engineering Co-op position offers hands-on experience in the utility industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support operations and maintenance at PPL Corporation. The role involves contributing to projects that impact plant performance, system reliability, and safety.
What you'll do#
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data using established engineering procedures.
- Perform routine engineering tasks including calculations, testing, and analysis.
- Support operations and maintenance teams with troubleshooting and technical evaluations.
- Assist engineers with large-scale projects and initiatives.
- Participate in the development of engineering goals, budgets, and procedures.
- Promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Review assignments for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET Accredited Bachelor’s degree program with a declared major in Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.50.
- Availability to work full time during the Spring 2027 semester, from January through May.
