About the role#
As an Investment Research Intern at Plante Moran, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside staff at all levels. You will be treated like a full-time analyst, contributing directly to client success through research and analysis. This is a paid, full-time internship with a hybrid work model. We accept applications on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Research investment topics including mutual funds, ETFs, alternative investments, stocks, and bonds.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and recommend investment solutions for clients.
- Prepare reports that illustrate the structural and statistical characteristics of investment portfolios and strategies.
- Develop research materials and present your findings to the research committee.
- Engage with money management firms as part of ongoing research activities.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A deep interest in capital markets, the economy, and investing.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Locations: Southfield, Michigan and Kalamazoo, Michigan.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (this role requires some local, national, and occasional international travel).
- Note: This is a non-exempt position and may require working more than 40 hours per week.
