About the role#
This internship program provides students with hands-on experience in public accounting during the busy tax season. You will join an industry group to support our tax services and work directly on client engagements. This is a paid, part-time position running from mid-February to mid-April 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with tax scanning and the preparation of tax returns.
- Work as a team member on diverse client engagements.
- Apply knowledge of basic technical tax requirements.
- Develop a working knowledge of the microcomputer applications used by the firm.
- Build relationships with clients and internal team members.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least 75% of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week, with availability for weekend work when necessary.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- A customer-focused mindset and the ability to multitask.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: Newburgh, New York.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Compensation: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Travel: Frequent local travel to clients and other firm locations may be required.
