Intern - Social Media (2026 Season)

About the role#

The Pittsburgh Pirates are seeking a Social Media Intern for the 2026 baseball season. This role provides an opportunity to gain industry experience by assisting the Social Media team with daily operations, content development, and fan engagement strategies throughout the season.

What you'll do#

• Attend most home games to capture and post content related to marketing, community events, and fan engagement.
• Assist the Director and Manager with content development and creation across all social media accounts, with a focus on TikTok.
• Help organize the content calendar for the weekly posting schedule.
• Provide remote social media support for select road games.
• Support the execution of the Pirates Influencer Program and provide coverage for mascot appearances and partnership activations.
• Assist in managing ancillary accounts, including those for PNC Park Events and community initiatives.
• Research league trends to develop new content concepts and best practices.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in a degree-seeking program for Marketing, Communications, Production, or a related field.
• Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.
• Proficiency in managing social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom, and InDesign.
• Ability to attend most home games and work remotely for away games.
• Knowledge of baseball and experience in sports, video production, or photography are considered assets.

• This is a paid, full-time internship located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
• The term for this position is Summer 2026.
• This role is on-site.
