Intern - Community Affairs (2026 Season)

About the role#

The Community Affairs Intern will support the Pirates Charities and Community team with daily operations, fundraising projects, and community outreach efforts throughout the 2026 season. This position provides hands-on experience in executing philanthropic initiatives and engaging with community partners at PNC Park and beyond.

What you'll do#

• Manage in-kind donation requests, including correspondence with organizations and the distribution of items.
• Oversee the Pirates Charities email inbox, providing customer service and responding to inquiries regarding philanthropic efforts.
• Support the hosting of community groups at PNC Park during home games, including managing Pirates Charities suite guests and community ticket groups.
• Assist in the execution of the Pirates Community Ticketing Program by coordinating with groups and distributing tickets.
• Help facilitate fundraising activities, such as the 50/50 Raffle during home games and online auctions, to benefit Pirates Charities.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student at an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Health, Sociology, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.
