Intern - Graphic Design (2026 Summer)

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid graphic design internship for the Summer 2026 season. You will work alongside the Creative Director, Senior Designer, and other creative team members to support various projects and assignments. This role is designed for a proactive individual who can solve problems, accept constructive feedback, and contribute to the team’s creative output.

What you'll do#

• Communicate and present ideas visually to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce visuals that align with the Pirates brand, voice, and audience to support the organization's brand story.
• Collaborate with the creative team to produce cohesive content and designs across all platforms and mediums.
• Attend project and team meetings, as well as participate in career-building exercises with other interns.
• Manage project tasks and file organization through the internal project management system.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student majoring in Graphic Design.
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of the graphic production process and the ability to organize and label production files.
• Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.

Location & details#

• This position is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
• You must be available to work on-site for the full duration of the internship from May 11, 2026, to August 14, 2026.
• Typical work hours are weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
