About the role#
As a Finance Intern with the Pittsburgh Pirates, you will gain practical experience within our Finance Department. This role offers exposure to the finance and accounting field through project-based work and daily operational support.
What you'll do#
- Maintain detailed subsidiary ledgers for various department expense accounts.
- Assist with MLB reporting requirements.
- Review documentation to ensure policy compliance.
- Perform invoice and data entry tasks.
- Analyze financial variances compared to budget and prior year data.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and transaction reviews.
- Compile documentation as requested by department supervisors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level.
- Major in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
