Intern - Finance (2026 Spring)

About the role#

As a Finance Intern with the Pittsburgh Pirates, you will gain practical experience within our Finance Department. This role offers exposure to the finance and accounting field through project-based work and daily operational support.

What you'll do#

• Maintain detailed subsidiary ledgers for various department expense accounts.
• Assist with MLB reporting requirements.
• Review documentation to ensure policy compliance.
• Perform invoice and data entry tasks.
• Analyze financial variances compared to budget and prior year data.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and transaction reviews.
• Compile documentation as requested by department supervisors.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level.
• Major in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
