Intern - Fan Engagement (2026 Season)

About the role#

The Pittsburgh Pirates are seeking a Fan Engagement Intern for the 2026 season to support the Marketing Department at PNC Park. This role offers hands-on experience in executing game-day entertainment, promotional events, and fan experiences, providing insight into the day-to-day operations of a professional sports organization.

What you'll do#

• Support the execution of Theme Nights, Block Parties, Family Fun Days, Kids Run the Bases, and Pup Nights.
• Assist with the collection and distribution of promotional items and materials for pre-game and in-game activations.
• Facilitate in-game and post-game fan experiential packages, remaining on-site for the duration of select games.
• Coordinate with vendors on Federal Street to ensure operations align with permit requirements, including the opening and closing of the area.
• Perform physical setup and teardown of event activations, requiring the ability to stand for long durations and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Collaborate with internal departments to plan and execute special events and theme nights throughout the ballpark.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program (Junior, Senior, or Graduate level) majoring in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a similar field.
• Previous experience in event management is preferred.
• Prior experience working with a collegiate or professional sports team is preferred.
• A flexible schedule that includes availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
