About the role#
The PNC Park Operations Intern will gain experience in the daily back-of-the-house operations of the ballpark. This role involves observing leadership across security, guest experience, facilities, and maintenance departments. Interns will participate in both non-game and game day procedures to understand the staffing and execution required to operate a professional sports facility.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with Human Resources to prepare for game and event day employee interviews and new hire call-backs.
- Conduct inventories for staff uniforms, radios, signage, storage areas, and equipment.
- Assist in preparing monthly staff schedules and entering requests into scheduling software.
- Perform ballpark walk-throughs and complete maintenance and cleaning checklists.
- Maintain a daily log and photo library of ongoing ballpark repair projects.
- Assist with organizing capital projects, tracking promotional item distributions, and managing office supplies.
- Support daily staff briefings and attend relevant planning meetings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited institution as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and the ability to learn new software.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.
- Preferred majors include Event/Facilities Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, or related fields.
- Previous customer service experience is helpful.
- A valid driver's license.
